• No brushing aroung the operated gingival area. Only brush the teeth.
  • Use a mouthwash/gel with chlorhexidine or chitosan.
  • Apply shaped ice cubes in the affected area of the mouth.
  • Apply a plastic bag with ice on the outside of the face.
  • Icing can be performed during the first 2 days with an interval of 15 minutes between each application.
  • The first hours after the intervention seeks to sleep with the head slightly higher than usual.
  • Diet soft and not very hot.
  • Apply a lip balm several times a day.
  • You should rest and not do overexertion the first two days.
  • Do not do sports in the first days after surgery.
  • Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol in the first days after surgery.
  • It is normal a slight bleeding for 24-48 hours.
  • If deeper bleeding happens, apply a gauze with cold water, hydrogen peroxide and compress the operated area.
